MacBook shows loading bar but does not open

Hello all.

Two days ago, my MacBook was working right as rain. Then later I went to boot up and got the little Apple logo and a loading bar. It’s been days and the loading bar has not moved past 80%. Holding the power button makes the logo and bar disappear but pressing it again makes it reappear. I can make the mouse appear but there is nothing to click. This does not change even when fully charged.

The strangest part is that whenever I turn on my Bluetooth headphones it automatically connects to the computer. Because I have no way to turn off Bluetooth from my computer, my Bluetooth headphones are perpetually connected to the MacBook.

I have a lot of important stuff on my computer. All my writing, projects, and history research are there and like a fool I have no backups. Hence why I don’t want to factory reset. School starts in 2 days so any help you can give me would be well appreciated.

P.S. Not sure if I have the device correct, but it looks just like the one in the picture

Immediately after posting this, my computer spontaneously turned on. Sorry for the trouble! I really should post here more often. Best, jonesbbq
