Broken Home button after screen replacement

I was able to successfully change my broken screen with the replacement screen, but when I turned the phone back on I noticed that my home button wasn’t working anymore it felt a little wobbly as well, I reopened the phone again to check if any of the cables were cracked but I saw nothing out of the ordinary, I tried to setup the iphone without the home button but I ended up on a “Press home to upgrade screen” now I can’t get out of it and when I try to connect it to Itune my computer can’t even recognize the phone.

Do you have any ways to get past this screen or be able to fix the home button?

Thank you

Hi,

You should try another button. If it still doesn’t work, you might have damaged the ribbon cable that goes behind the metal plate. Try replacing that also.
