If you trying to switch from MS Outlook to Apple Mail. All the advice says "Click on an Outlook mailbox and drag it to the desktop. You can use a professional third-party tool.

Trying to switch from MS Outlook [Office 365] to Apple Mail. All the advice says "Click on an Outlook mailbox and drag it to the desktop, where it will save as MBox". I did that years ago on my iMac and it worked.
