Videos don't play and Audio doesn't work

So my pixel doesn't seem to play audio from the speakers, including the ringer. Although it also doesn't play any videos on YouTube, instagram or Snapchat so I'm not sure if it's a software issue? Weird thing is that from time to time it works and works with Bluetooth headphones (headphone jack is broken). Is it because it is trying to direct the audio to the headphone jack? But that doesn't explain why it doesn't play videos? Any help would be appreciated

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Maybe it's because your device doesn't support this video format.A video converter is what you need,I use the Dumpmedia Video Converter can not only download videos from youtube, but also convert videos to the right format you need while it is downloading,it can support many video file formats, such as MP4, MOV, WMV, AVI, MKV, FLV, 3GP, MPEG and other regular video formats are available. Here is an example about youtube video to download.

I’m having the same issue. My dog knocked my pixel 2 xl off the counter last night and everything seemed fine at first. Then about 5 minutes later YouTube crashed and the phone restarted. When it turned back on apps were crashing left and right and when I was able to load a video or song no audio would come through the speakers. I have been having issues with my usb port for over a year now too so I’m not sure if fixing that will resolve the issues. Worst case, I’m worried it’s going to require a new motherboard.

I’ve regrettably performed a factory reset on it with no luck. So now I have to go through the savage task of finding all of my account login details again. If I find a result I’ll be sure to leave it here…
