Why does my beats pill only turn on while plugged in?

While plugged in the beats pill will turn on and continues to stay on even after being unplugged. While its unplugged I can see the bluetooth indicator light as well as the charging indicator light flash when I press the on/off button however it doesn’t actually power up unless the device is plugged in. It seems to need some sort of extra power at the beginning in order to turn on but then works perfectly after that. Does anyone know why this is happening or how I can fix it?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Jordan Phillips  time to replace the battery. After you install a new battery, re-evaluate. this video should get you there.

Why would the battery be the problem if it continues to work after i've unplugged it? The device works perfectly after its turned on and the battery does hold a charge, the problem seems to be with whatever mechanism is responsible for turning on the device.

Strictyl based on "when I press the on/off button however it doesn’t actually power up unless the device is plugged in." if nothing else, it will give you a known-well starting point for further trouble shooting if necessary. Once you get to that point, take a couple of good pictures of the circuit board. Post thse with your question. It will allow us to see what you see since capacitors cannot be ruled out. you need that extra oomph to start any device and your battery may not supply this Adding images to an existing question

I have the same issue. I injected voltage into the battery since it was depleted. Then it started when I had the charger in. I unplugged the charger and then it works. But if I unplug the charger 2/3 times it "kills" the device and it wont turn on with only battery. I have found 2 capacitors near the micro usb that dont give a reading and do not short to ground on one side. I get a voltage across them. I really would like to know the value of these.
