Why won't the screen click into place?

I tried to open the device and take the screen off (it was my sister’s phone), she wanted me to stop and I barely had it open, so I went to click the screen back into place, but it won’t click into place. Please help!

What happened was I partially separated the bezel from the glass, so I had to replace the entire screen.

Hello,

Are the corners of the device in the same condition as when the device was purchased?

If there are any bends in the outer casing the phone screen wont go down properly. To fix this you need to take the display off and unbend those corners. Make sure when you’re putting the display back in you push the screen in from the top first as it has a little lip to fit flush with the casing, then push down on the sides/bottom.

Thanks, but that's not what the problem was.

Hello,

As you said the corners of the device are fine, then you may simply have to lift up the screen, and reinstall it, putting it in place from the top, down the sides, and then by the home button. It is practically impossible to put a screen back down if it is partially up.

If the glass is cracked, then I recommend replacing the screen.

Hope this helps.
