iPhone SE random battery percentage

Hello,

I bought an SE to repair the screen , I have noticed that when I was driving home the percentage dropt from 73 to 30 and then it get stuck for like an half hour even using it , when I changed the screen I noticed when I replugged the battery in the connector that it doesn't click , it feels like it's lose all the time. Is it possible because of a damaged port or battery that it gives bad readings, because I don't see any metal holder that has broken off. I also don't have an extra battery yet to test it.

Also I don't have a multimeter to test

Please advice

Yes the battery has a line that sends a signal to the device telling it what percentage it is relative to capacity (Gas Guage). IF this has a bad connection you can see percentage fluctuate or even get stuck in a boot loop. Check the connector on the mainboard to make sure it is not damaged and the components next to it are not damaged and i would just say throw a new battery in it if the connector on the board is good.

Sounds like the repair shop that fixed it damaged one or two components near the battery connector like you said.

These components are pretty small and are hard to identify without a microscope.

I think it's best that the OP takes it back to where he/she got it repaired from for warranty.
