It's running custom firmware, so you're in luck. I'm not too familiar with the slims, but you need to download the stock 6.35 update, and boot your PSP into recovery mode. Do this by turning it off, and turning it back on while holding down the right bumper. A menu should come up on the screen. Select "Toggle USB" and connect it to your computer. Now, rename the 6.35 Update that you downloaded "EBOOT.PBP" (if it isn't already named that), and copy it to "/PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/" directory on your PSP's memory stick. Now on the recovery menu, select "Run program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP" Your PSP should procede to reinstall stock 6.35 Firmware. Once the firmware installs, reboot the PSP. It should now be working on stock 6.35 firmware. You can now go back, and reinstall your custom firmware.

Well 6.35 Pro is a LCFW so a Hard reset will return your device back to OFW.

This is done by holding the power button for 10 secs or more. Device will power off. Failing that disconnect the battery [if your careful the warrenty sticker will still be valid]

If you didnt try to perma patch then you should then boot back into the enter settings screen.

If you still have no XMB and you left USB mode to auto connect then see if the device is still allowing for usb mode.

If you have access to a docking station then i have known that to "kick" the device back into being sensible
