touch ID works after screen replacement but only for a few clicks

hello, recently I replaced a broken screen out of my iphone 6S, i carefully installed everything back im place and everything worked just fine, but suddenly, the touch ID stopped working, no message like “TouchID od dissabled” to anything, homebutton still works.. Then I took it apart again, reinstalled both touch ID connectors one the homebutton and into the motherboard, it worked again but for like 20 unlocks and then the same problem occured… This was repeat like 6 times and same results.. I’m hopeless, should I get a new screen or is there anyone who can help? Thanks.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Try another screen :)

If you put the broken screen back in, does the problem go away?

id check home button flex that attached to shield, does your old screen work with home button. also back up and fully restore phone. did you use enough heat to pull away the home button? check for any type of damage.

This is a common screen issue on some bad screens where the flex that runs under the plate isn't very good or is damaged…

Assuming the button wasn't damaged during removal or fitting then try another screen, you could also try to remove the flex from the original however that's quite awkward if you haven't done it before
