Fixing a Bent Frame?

The frame on my Pixel XL has become bent. Is there any accepted methods to straightening it back out? The bend is bad enough where the display has started to de-laminate from the phone.

The safest way to fix a bent enclosure is by completely gutting the phone to avoid damaging the components.

Once the enclosure is empty, it is pretty easy to just reshape it with your hands. You could use one of the jigs or reshaping tools that’s out there, but if you don’t have one on hand, they tend to be expensive.

Only thing to be aware of is you want to maintain the shape of the cutouts for volume/power buttons and sim card slot. This can be tricky.

however, if you are gutting the phone down to the point that reshaping the enclosure is viable, a replacement enclosure for a Pixel XL is about $30 and it’s easier to just build the phone back into a perfectly shaped enclosure.
