internal speaker faulty now that screen is cracked

I accidently damaged the screen (broken in the left hand bottom corner), and now when trying to operate facetime etc I can hear the other person although they cannot hear me!! Since breaking the screen, i placed a screen saver over it, as the part had shattered into 2 or 3 small pieces ( damaged area measures 1 cm x 1 cm) and did not want a tiny section to come away!

I can hear all my music etc just fine, only problem speaker now just operating one way!

Is this something that can be repaired? and if so is it a relatively easy repair?

the problem isnt the speaker. its the mic in the back, by the camera. thats the problem. for the cracked screen, that doesnt effect the mic. as a ex apple developer, i know apple doesnt make things all that complex. if anything. the mic was just disconnected (we were famous for making cables that got unplugged if dropped). the mic looks like it is connected in the top right, next to the camera. but knowing apple and based on the other ipods, all the connectors connect to the bottom of the ipod. ill post again soon about where it is connected.

Well? That was posted 2 years ago is there a resolution to this???? No one can hear me but I can hear them =( please help!!
