Compatibility with Older Models

Is the metal housing of the 5th generation compatible with old Ipod models like the 4th generation and the 3rd generation? I am having a hard time finding good condition replacement housing shells for the older model Ipods

Matt Brenner  no they are not. As usual Apple made sure that each new iPod has a redesigned case. Only the 5th gen will fit a 5th gen.
