Wi-Fi only version of Apple's 2nd generation iPad Air. Model A1566.

How to properly glue the display

What is the best method in resealing the LCD display back down? I have applied the double sided tape, is there anything else that I need to apply?

Thanks

Hey Dustin

The best method to reapply the LCD screen on the iPad is to use the adhesive strips that are custom fit to the iPads frame. These adhesive strips work the best. If you don't have adhesive strips you can order them pretty inexpensively here on iFixit or Amazon.

Double sided tape doesn't really work that great since the tackiness of the tape becomes weak over time. This results in the display becoming loose and popping up. After applying the strips its recommended to use a heated pad or heated pack to help secure the adhesive to the screen (iFixit also sells this tool).

Hope this helps good luck!
