Brown line in the middle of my screen on my Samsung curved TV. Image looks fine just dark. What could it be?

The back light has a problem on this set. I don't recall whether the LED strips are vertically mounted or not, but I would suspect that they are. You have a failed LED strip. The back light is generated by a number of LED strips for even light distribution. With a strip out, you would get a diminished area as seen here.

Your options are to replace the entire strip or have someone replace the defective LED(s) on the strip.

You’re the greatest! Thank you! My

next question is disassembly. I’m assuming you can just pry the bezel out? It’s super thin.....

Taking these apart without damage is a bit tricky. If you have not done this before, get some help. If your model is the un55ks8500, this is not an inexpensive set. Locate the strips first before you do anything. If the strips are not available, the individual LEDs can be replaced. Note that replacing the LEDs required specialized equipment though.

I have a similar problem with my TCL Rocku Tv but this one goes away if I reset the tv and it returns after few minutes, so I don't think is the led stripes, should be something else.

Did you ever figure out what it was? I have the same tv with the same problem

Same problem here on a TCL Roku TV. No fix yet. I think it is the LED strip though. Might just be a few LEDs causing the issue....
