Repair damaged Sony XBR-70X850B Screen

I have a Sony XBR-70X850B, during my recent move the left side of the screen got damaged. There is no crack on the glass that you can touch, but it has a thin curved line inside the screen and there is no picture around that line.

I am not sure if I can get a replacement screen somewhere, but if someone can guide me about what part I might need to replace or if it could be fixed somehow, that will be great. We loved the TV and we are very sad about the damage, so any help to fix the TV will be highly appreciated.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Thanks for the reply. I have added a couple of actual photos to the damage.

As I suspected, the LCD portion of the screen has cracked. There is no way to fix this other than replacement which due to availability (or lack thereof), is not feasible.

These panels are not fixable, nor are replacements available. This is similar to the old CRT TVs. When the screen goes, it is time for a new one. If this was damaged during a move, you can check to see if your insurance or that of the mover will cover the damage. It will still require you getting a replacement TV, but al least some of the cost will be covered. it sounds like the inner screen was damaged due to stress. A picture would be good to confirm this though.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...
