I can't get my audio driver to reinstall after I uninstalled it

I uninstalled my audio driver and now i am trying to reinstall it, but it says it can't for some reason...something is blocking it from being able to reinstall. i have tried many things but still can't get it to reinstall. I tried troubleshooting, going into audio driver, downloading audio driver and it won;t download complete.

What is the status of your audio controller in Device Manager?

What OS is installed in the laptop?

First, clear cookies, then temporary files, if possible then search entry of audio drivers in registry on finding them just delete the registry entry, after that look for the folder in system 32 folder entry with your audio driver name delete the complete folder or rename the folder, after completing you will be able to install sound driver.
