tom, why did you replace the screen? Did it work before you replaced it? Anything else not working? Any recent firmware updates? Did you have a reliable supplier for your digitizer/screen?

Tom,

Unfortunately that will happen from time to time. I always check operation before sticking the new digitizer glass especially on the 4th gen. You may not have gotten the digitizer plugged in correctly or it may have come unplugged during the rest of the assembly. You'll have to heat it up and remove the glass, (carefully) go through the rest of the steps (carefully)to remove the display and check the plug in the bottom of the logic board. Did you replace the copper tape wrap around the plug? Usually it is the other plug I have trouble with because of the short ribbon cable! As long as you didn't damage the logic board when you took it apart the first time you should be able to get it up and running again. Good luck and let us know how you progress.
