I tried to replace my battery and disable my phone for good.

I tried to replace my battery with the close instructions provided here managed to disable my phone for good. Touch screen doesn't work upon restart and I might just have to get a whole new phone now. I feel stupid because I thought I could do this on my own and instead ended up making things work. I appreciate you guys providing me the tools but I feel out 30$ and dont know where to go from here.

You may be better off taking it to a reputable phone repair shop for testing and inspection so that you don't need to buy a screen to see if that fixes the problem.
