My iPhone 6s plus is not turning on after I dropped it in water

I dropped my iphone in the sink right after that I tried to turn it off but the home but kept on activating siri, but i was able to turn it off. I open it up and there was not a lot but good amount and i took cleaned it out and let it dry up. I turned it back on and everything is was working excepted for the home button i thought nothing of it but the night of i fell asleep face timing someone it shut off. it would not turn back on i tried to charge it back up but would go in a boot loop to the white apple logo and then back a black screen with the spinning wheel. so I unhooked the battery and let sit in rice for a couple of days and now i just tried to charge it to see what would happen it turned on and was able to get the home screen and type in my pass code and looked at the battery percentage and it said 1% and it tuned back off into the boot loop again. Now here is my question it a bad battery or something is fried?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

liquid damage is a tricky problem, rice doesnt solve liquid damage and you say not alot but a good amount i take it you mean liquid inside the phone. battery percentage could be a few things like, battery, tristar a short on the battery power line. it would need looked at by a professional technician and not some repair shop that doesnt deal in microsoldering also look for a shop that does it under no fix no fee

I agree with daniel. Your best chance is to take it to a reputable phone repair shop that does liquid damaged phones if you want the phone to work again and/or get data off the phone if it is not turning on.

Put you phone in a Ziploc with raw rice enough to cover the phone.

You can also put that bag inside your car on a sunny day.

The rice it's supposed to dry all of the water.

Hopefully you can resolve this problem.

Greetings!

Also the rice won't dry out any liquids inside a phone. It's a placebo affect where some of it evaporates inside the phone over time not as a result of using rice.
