Backlight not coming on

Hi guys! So my iPhone 6s fell in a bucket of water during Christmas of 2017, I opened it up and cleaned it and it worked fine up to about a week after, the backlight started acting up and the Touch ID stopped working, then suddenly the backlight stopped working totally Iv'e tried cleaning the board many times but the backlight never came on nor was i able to get my touch ID working

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hi Terri, sorry but I'm afraid nobody can help you at a distance, it's clearly a hardware issue considering the liquid damage. If you didn't remove the Emi shields to clean under those, then 80% of the logic board components wasn't touched by the cleaning and kept on deteriorating and oxydizing. You could try replacing the screen just to make sure it's not a screen issue. Besides that, you'll have to find an experienced professional specialized in smartphone board repairs to take care of it.
