Why did the touch screen partially stop working?
the bottom half of the screen does not work.

Hi,
If you rotate the tablet from the normal “landscape” mode to the ‘portrait” mode does the touchscreen problem move with the screen, i.e. from bottom to side?
If so it may be that the touchscreen (digitizer) has failed in that area.
Here’s a link to the ifixit Trio AXS 3G Screen Replacement guide, that shows how to replace the digitizer.
Here’s a link to just one supplier of the replacement part. It’s not a recommendation to use them. It’s just shown to give an idea of the cost of the part.
There are other suppliers online that may suit you better. Just search for Trio AXS 3G digitizer part to get results.
