5s - Faint shadow on screen when home button's depressed. Cause?

I replaced the battery in my 5s. I thought all went well. All features worked when reassembled including touch id.

However, a faint shadow appears on screen when home button is depressed and when I press down on the lower right corner of the phone.

I reopened the phone to make sure nothing was sticking up and getting in the way of closing it. Nothing was.

Could I have bent the LCD or something else when snapping it back together or what else could cause this?

Any ideas for a fix?

MANY THANKS..........

Sorry, I missed your response. I gather you want a pic of the problem area with front cover off? Will supply that soon as I can get back in to it.

Thank you.

This is most likely caused by the replacement battery. Of it is sticking up too much, even as little as 1mm, then when you apply pressure via the Home Button or the screen itself, you will see darkish forms appear.

Open up the phone and insure the the battery is completely flat and not leaning against anything which would cause it to be lifted up.

Thank you. I did clip a little off the battery tab which seemed to be sticking up too high. Didn't help. I plan to go back into the phone for another look asap. Maybe I can see a "high spot" near the bottom right hand corner as that's the area that produces the problem when pressed down on.
