Displayport 1.4 Not Working

I'm currently trying to use a Displayport 1.4 cable to connect my GTX 1060 to my ASUS ROG XG258Q. HDMI works fine but whenever i connect the displayport, it says no signal detected. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Btw, the specs of my pc just in case the problem is in here:

i7-8700k

NZXT Kraken X62

GIGABYTE Z3780M D3H

ADATA XPG SX8200 M.2 2280

GeIL DDR4 8gb X 3

MICRONICS Classic II 600W + 12v

+ I have 2 more monitors: Phillips 246E7

Any answers would be great :)

Hi skim041230

Would like to check some things from you and also try checking on the checklist below:

1. Consider updating your graphic card drivers.

2. What operating systems are you using?

If windows 10, click on the start button, type project to a second screen ...

and select extend. Does it shows?

3. Check on the nvidia control panel settings (under setup multiple monitors)

You can run the tool to allow the graphic card to detect displays.

4. Check for mainboard latest bios.

5. On the monitor, when displayport is connected, ensure that the asus monitor source is selected correctly. Disconnect the hdmi and just connect with display cables. If it is set to auto source, off the monitor and allow it to scan for signal, else if it is in manual selection, select Displayport source.

6. Test with another displayport cable.
