Error Message on TV

Hi All,

I got a Samsung flat screen tv and LG dvd player.

I get the error message on my tv screen when I turn on my dvd player and tv on and try to play a memory stick plugged into my dvd player on my tv, I can't even play

DVD disk in my dvd on my tv. I can only play memory on my actual tv.

(1) Check the cable connection and the settings of your source device

(2) Press source on your remote control to select the connected source device.

I have changed the HDMI cable and it still doesn't work and the source is HDM-2 which I choose, tried other sources and still doesnt work.

Please help?

Best regards,

Yanni

Thank You oldturkey03 for your reply. I don't know what model my tv is, I can't tell you, I am work my tv is at home. The error message I get is below. I am going to test my DVD player on another tv to see if the DVD player is not faulty, if it not faulty then I am going to reset my Samsung flat screen tv to factory settings and see if it works.

(1) Check the cable connection and the settings of your source device

(2) Press source on your remote control to select the connected source device.

The HDMI port of my DVD player where the HDMI cable goes in was faulty.

It was my DVD player HDMI port that was the problem.

If you get this error message on your tv;

(1) Check the cable connection and the settings of your source device

(2) Press source on your remote control to select the connected source device.

Plug your DVD player into another tv to see if it works. If it doesn't work then there is something wrong the DVD player. Your HDMI cable could be faulty or your HDMI port on your DVD player could be faulty.
