Why can’t I connect my wii to my projector?

Hi, I have a tender projector and I’ve been trying to connect my nintendo wii for the longest time. I have a hdmi to rca converter but it’s still not working.

Options

If your projector has RCA ports right on it, than you don't need an adaptor.
