Without the standby light (red), the TV won't turn on at all. If this is not present, then the TV has suffered a catastrophic failure of the power supply. It can be as simple as a blown fuse. Was this unit subjected to a power outage? Open the back and with the unit unplugged, check the fuse first. If that is OK, please post the model number and a photo of the power supply board and we'll continue from there.

this is a dead set with no power. check your outlet, check your power cable. After that remove the back of your TV and check the fuses on the power boards as well as the rectifier etc. Post some images of your boards with your question so we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question You also will have to give us the complete model number for your TV.
