Black Bars on Screen, Replaced LVDS Cable

My macbook screen looks like this:

Picture

I have replaced the LVDS cable and it didn't make any difference. It works fine when I plug it into an external display. Every once in awhile I can open and close it and it goes back to normal. Could it be a bad led driver board? Anything else?

Looks like your LCD panel is faulty. To identify the LCD panel installed in your MBP:

- open Terminal application

- paste this line:

ioreg -lw0 | grep IODisplayEDID | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6

-hit the RETURN key

You can now find a replacement one online. Try ebay...
