3001b turns off after 35 seconds, no video.

I have the 3001b revision of the PS3 slim (This does not have pot screws in the power supply, before anyone says to adjust them) and when I plug it in, the light goes red, when I press power it beeps, the fan turns on, and then after about 35 seconds it dies completely, and I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get the red light back.

There's nothing obviously wrong with the power supply (No broken traces, bulging caps, etc), but I don't know enough about diagnosing issues with those to know for sure, and I don't want to order a new one if that's not the problem.

I can't get it to do any of the 3 beeps or diagnostic mode stuff either, literally all I can do is turn it on, wait 35 seconds, and watch it die.

Options

try applying new thermal compound to the CPU and GPU and see if that helps.
