Touch ID not working after screen replacement

Have you torn the cable? Inspect the cable for damage. Even the slightest tear could disable touch ID.

Yeah, About 80% of iPhone Touch ID failures are caused by damaged home button flex

Most likely the home button flex was damaged. The home button extension flex that routes through the LCD display backlight film may be partially disconnected from the logic board, torn, or just bad from the vendor. There's a chance the display screen you ordered is the issue--have observed some replacement screens yield this result although it's rare.
