Snorkeling with my iPhone 8+
So I am in Belize and I went on a snorkeling trip. I was on the boat with my phone in my pocket and jumped in, forgetting to take the phone out of my pocket. (Thank god it was a zipper pocket) so I was in for about 45 minutes and realized that is was still in my pocket. I swam over to the boat, handed it to my dad, and had him turn it off ASAP. Then he got it as dry as he could. When we got back to the condo I had a fan dry blowing into the charging port. I turned it on after about 4 hours sitting in front of the fan and to my surprise it is working fine. Only issue is that the speakers on the bottom and the one at the top sound horrible.
Is there anything I can do to fix this or should I just face it and get it fixed through the protection plan we have through Verizon when I get back?
Is this a good question?

Hi @venombanan
Well, I guess that the phones have Liquid Detection Stickers,
If you return the phone to verizon, i guess they will check that, but well you can give it a try.
Make a Backup of your phone in itunes first before sending in for service.
Else if they refuse service.
What i Can suggest you is to send it to ultrasonic bath, as sea water can cause issues to the circuit board. and try replacing the mentioned parts, speakers and maybe microphone is affected.
