To remove the battery, is a Y0 or a Y1 tripoint screwdriver required? In fact, I need to replace the DC-In board. So is it necessary to remove the battery first before removing the logic card? Thanks.

No, you don't need to remove the battery but it does give you a bit more room to swing the logic board out.
You'll need a Y1 Driver for the battery & here's the needed part: MacBook Pro Unibody 13" and 15" MagSafe DC-In Board
