Hi @kawar ,

What needs to be updated with this page?

Did you try replacing the coin cell battery in the laptop as described by the answer?

The link to the manual is dead.

Can someone here please give a break down how to do this repair if it can even be done with out replacing the motherboard

Hi @kawar ,

Both links work for me when I click on them. Using Win 10 and Chrome browser.

Try searching for "Dell Inspiron 5577 support"

Or try this link

Click on manuals and Documents then find service manual pdf link

Hi @gaurav98 ,

Here is a link to the service manual for your laptop, (taken from this webpage)

Scroll to p.49 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove/replace the coin cell battery.

Hopefully this is of some help.
