After change audio jack the home botton dont work

Good day everybody my name is Jesús i am of Venezuela

i fix ipods and have this case with a client

the client send me an ipod touch when i recived worked OK but the audio jack was damaged no listen good the sound and proceed to install the new part this works perfects and when close everything the home button dont work someone here was fix this troubble? y buy and install other button but the problem insist

any help please make me happy, :D

i check and checking see that the contact with metal of frame then work and then the logicboard its good

More then likely you damaged the logic board while soldering in a new audio jack.

Logic boards are very easily damaged with heat and having not opened one up myself i'm not positive on the schematics or layout of the Ipod Touch 2G.

Check your logic board for cold solder joints and any padding lifted up on the board.
