Having Issues Replacing the Home Button

iPad Air 2

Doing a screen replacement and reinstalling original home button.

Tried with a new home button gasket and it didn't hold or click right. Tried with double-sided tape and it didn't click right. Tried taking white plastic piece from OEM screen and installing, lining up clicker right with the shield and using a super glue to hold down gasket, still doesn't click right and now it won't turn on.

Has anyone come across this issue with the iPad Air 2 home button too??

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Does it click right before installing it? As in can you hold the bottom piece that comes into contact with the home button and the home button itself in your hand and click it by pinching them together?

No, it's just mushy and not a distinctive click. We were thinking maybe it could be the spacing of the click button with the shield...

Can you upload a pic of the button? Mainly the underneath?
