Why are there horizontal lines and double images

Sony Bravia KDL46W4100 LCD TV is 2yrs old, when I first power it up now there are horizontal lines and double images just on the right side of the screen, the left is fine. This will go away after 5-10 minutes then the picture looks good. I had someone tell me to power off, unplug the TV and wait a couple minutes and plug back into a different outlet but got the same results. I also replaced the expensive surge block it was plugged into as requested and it still does it.

Previously, I'like sony, good quality and famous brand BUT NOW SONY IS THE BAD QUALITY, TOO MANY LCD/LED TV PROBLEM, WHY AFTER GUARANTY EXPIRED, DOUBLE IMAGE ATTACK MANY TV SONY, THIS IS SONY TIMER?

I DECIDE, NO MORE BUY SONY PRODUCT AND I WILL SAY TO ALL MY FRIEND IN INDONESIA, &&^& QUALITY

Sony is now depending only on their Brand name ? . Poor you Sony people , you do not know how we earn our money ? Do you think you can loot us by supplying poor quality products ? .

Dont buy Sony, very bad quality panel, plus very poor service center. and most of all the ^!&$@*%%$%*^* charge big price for it. Dont buy Sony and Samsung, very poor quality.

Options

My first impression is that you have a component/IC on the logicboard that has a bad solder joint or BGA and as the unit heats up proper contact is made. The only other thing that makes sense is 1 or more capacitors are going out. They are loosing their charge when the system is powered down and not fully recharging for the time frame you speak about. Your TV needs some attention from a qualified repair person.
