Screen won’t turn on.

I’ll turn on my iPhone, and the apple logo shows up for about 10-15 seconds then my screen goes black. When I tried to see if it was a problem with the new battery there was a white light under the screen, so it’s on but the glass part is just black. I’m really confused. I changed the battery because the last one was swelling and pushing the screen out, so I wonder if the screen needs replaced, but I don’t have the money for it. What do I do?

The next logical step is to try a replacement screen. You can try it yourself by following this guide.

You could ask a repair shop to try this for you so you don't buy a screen for nothing but at some point you will either have to replace some parts or get another phone.
