How to remove the side panel of a Canon Pixma MG5622

My Canon Pixma MG5622 printer was displaying the "ink absorber is almost full" warning and is now not allowing the ink cartridges to move out of the way so that I can access and clean them as I'm educated on simply how to. I want to remove the side panel only I can't seem to figure out how. There are the arrows pointing to slots for a flathead screwdriver to loosen it up. Unfortunately there is one at the front that I can't figure out and I don't want to break the thin plastic. I can't get seem to get any answers from Canon unless I pay for the repair service which would cost more than I paid for the printer. This happened before with a paper jam that luckily YouTube had a simple tutorial showing what lever to press etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you aren't able to fix this issue, you might want to simply replace the printer. You might pick it up cheap at Walmart.com.

Walmart.com often has a few printers at great prices for sale online. I recently bought a Canon PIXMA MX490 Wireless printer/scanner/copier/fax (with Automatic Document Feeder) from Walmart.com. That printer is currently selling for $39.99 on their website.

Thanks for the advice. Although Walmart.com does have excellent deals I'm on a tight budget so I'm going to have to rely on my previous printer that I luckily saved. As I've done in the past, if I'm going to scrap or discard a device I might as well take it apart to see whet I can do.
