beer spilled on iPhone

i got my iphone4 3weeks ago and someone spilled beer on my iphone and it's been a week.

iphone's not ringing or vibrating when there's incoming call and game sound.

i tried ipod and general ringtone setting and it's working and i can hear the sound.

weird thing is whenever i turn on music and play game, the game sound turns back on.

i didn't do anything after beer spills because i didn't know until today. i purchased the back glass casing to replace and when i opened it and realized there are quite a bit of sticky residue from beer everywhere and i couldn't even pull out the battery =(

i'm gonna bring iphone to apple store tomorrow and if they say they can fix it with reasonable price ill let them fix it but if it's not, could i or someone be able to fix my phone?

If you have the courage to take the back off to change covers and try to take out the battery fairly sure you could fix your phone. Have a good look at the guides linked on the right... Read it a few times so it's familiar. You can then try removing the battery before attempting a clean. You can wash the parts that have beer on them in distiller water ( less particles to leave residue) and then iso or isopropyl alcohol (high %= less water= quicker drying) use a soft brush to lift beer trace. Allow to dry. Reassemble. You'll need to pay extra attention to your speakers/connections. Good luck. I think you'll find apple an expensive option
