Why does my Lg Feista 2 keep showing "invalid SIM"?

I bought my son the LG Feista 2 less than a year ago and this is twice now it keeps showing up with "invalid SIM". The first time I called the company and they sent me a new SIM card and it has been fine till yesterday. Both times he was not even near or on his phone. Anyone else had this problem?
