Hi @vinmaish ,

What is the model number of the IdeaPad?

What OS is installed?

Has any liquid been spilled onto the keyboard?

My lenovo is ideapad 120s-11IAP

Model name81A4

After going through the devive manager i havent found any place about disabling the keyboard. I need a permanent solution because last week it had the same problem but it had to be formatted which is expensive here and not the best and permanent solution!

Hi @vinmaish ,

Did the keyboard work again after the IdeaPad was 'formatted' or not?

By 'formatted' do you mean the the OS was reinstalled?

What OS is installed?

Try starting the IdeaPad in 'safe mode' and check if the keyboard works OK in this mode?

The Lenovo doesn't have a safe mode option however after it was formatted and OS reinstalled and it worked; windows 10 pro was installed and it is the current windows of the laptop. It has been two weeks since the keyboard stopped working and I please need a good and permanent solution.

you should check your device manager and look under keyboards to see if it has been disabled or needs to be updated

Try to have a look at lenovo support page https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/gb/en/produ...

I by the sound of it you might have driver issues.

To fair thats not hardware problem... if your fix is by changing user or restart - thats software issues. Try downloading keyboard drivers, uninstall existing ones, restart pc and install new ones. And just to be safe - if you using win10 switch to tablet mode before restart. Then istall fresh copy of drivers.

And I would deny that Lenovo is bad brand. Lenovo is just a different name for IBM computers. And you cant blame them for software issues.
