Sounds like a software issue unless the home button has died. Try resetting it.

Hi @sylviacaffrey,
Try starting the tablet in safe mode and check if the problem still happens or not.

Anything. I can't even get into the settings. I hit the button, the screen comes up then it closes it right away

This happens when clicking on any app. Also, cant get into settings. Switches briefly to previous screen and back to menu.
