Why wont phone turn on

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Announced in March 2015 and released April 10, 2015, the Galaxy S6 Edge is the curved-screen version of Samsung's newest flagship smartphone.

After several months of my phone being dead and lost i have finally found it then charged it but the screen wont turn on , why is this happening?

Options

Where was it lost? Was it somewhere exposed to water (rain, humidity, etc...)?

Maybe it was hit by something while lost.

How do you know it's battery is at 100%, does the screen work, but it won't boot?
