Can I switch the display in my Mid 2012 MacBook Pro with a 2011 unit?

Is it possible to change my glossy display in my mid 2012 with a early 2011 matte display?

Basically, swapping the complete lid assembly with everything thats inside with the other display?

Yes, you can swap the display assemblies between them. But! you will loose the better FaceTime camera: 2011 FaceTime HD camera Vs 2012 720p FaceTime HD camera.
