Nintendo Switch LCD screen seems loose after digitizer replacement.

I recently replaced my digitizer (I know, stupid idea, whatever) and all seemed to go well for the most part until I put it back together and the LCD screen jiggled around underneath. I took the digitizer off and could tell it was obviously the LCD screen, but I don't even know what holds it in place. The ONE video online mentions it, but doesn't really explain what he does about it. Is this supposed to be like this. If not, how can I fix it?

Hi! The LCD is normally held in place by pressure from the digitizer and the screws holding the rest of the console together. You'll want to make sure that the digitizer is held in place firmly with adhesive. Also, if you didn't clean off the old adhesive on the frame and the new digitizer had adhesive on it then you have two layers of adhesive. That would be enough to cause it to move around in there.

Hope this helps.

Also, I'm not sure if you've seen my teardown on this but here it is just in case:

I replaced mine too and it does this but I’ve already stuck the new digitizer down so I don’t wanna take it back off to try and secure the lcd with more adhesive as it is really hard to find the perfect spot for the lcd to stay so that you have even borders all the way around anyway. Might get aggravated and try it anyway in the future though.

Hey. A little late, but the old digitizer has a thick rubbery frame that surrounds the LCD, and that's what holds it in place. It's not the screws because they don't clamp on the digitizer. If you still have the old one, carefully remove the rubber piece and stick it on the new digitizer. Make sure the LCD is square with the rest of the system before putting the digitizer down, or it'll be slightly tilted which would drive me bananas
