Why can’t I plug in my charger?

My son tried using an iPad plug to charge my both. The receptacles are bent and I can plug in my phone.

Hi,

The charge port will have to be replaced.

Fortunately it is on a replaceable module so that it can be replaced, but it is not an easy job to gain access to it.

Here is a link to a video that shows how to dis-assemble the phone.

At 9:37 minutes into the video, the removal of the module, which includes the charge port is shown.

Here is a link to suppliers of the replacement part.

It is not a recommendation to use any of them. It is shown to give an idea of the cost of the part. There are other suppliers online who may suit you better. Just search for Samsung galaxy E7 charge port to get results.

If you find this all too daunting, contact a reputable, professional mobile phone repair service and ask for a quote to repair the phone. You already know the cost of the part ;-)
