How do I know which replacement button ribbon film to purchase?

I am looking to replace the button ribbon film in several controllers that don't work due to liquid corrosion on the film's connection point to the controller board. I have noticed several differences in button conductive ribbon films that are available out there. How do I know which ones I need to purchase? Are there differences internally in some Dualshock 3 controllers?

EBay. I have seen as many as 4 different styles of film available from parts sellers. The looks are all similar with slight visual differences due to different manufacturers. The main reason why I'm concerned there is a difference for specific controllers is the fact that there are differences in the film's connection points to the controller board on all of the available film's.
