iPad Air Home Button Assembly repair

I need to replace the Home button assembly on an iPad Air A1474. There is a procedure for the iPad Air 2 here (link below). Can I use this procedure and the recommended parts? Are they compatible between the two versions? Or am I out of luck?

No, the Air 2 Home Button has Touch ID and is different from the iPad Air Home Button. You will want to order this flex (assuming this is what you need to replace and not the actual round button-top)

Cool thanks for the comment. What I need is the entire Home button assembly - the Home button is actually completely missing. I guess what I really need to know is will the procedure I referenced still be valid for an original iPad Air (of course with the iPad Air parts, not the iPad Air 2 parts)?

thanks

Use this guide: iPad Air LTE Front Panel Assembly Replacement

And you need these 3 parts to replace the home button properly:

iPad Air Home Button

iPad Air Home Button Bracket

iPad Air Home Button Ribbon Cable

Home button bracket, Home button ribbon cable, and the physical home button itself.
