Calculator stuck in "On" Position

I took apart a Sharp EL-1197P calculator and cleaned contacts with 91% isopropyl alcohol. When I reassembled it and plugged it back in the power switch was set to off but still turned on. I flipped it back and forth still nothing. Please help!

you could possibly have a short in the switch, or on another part of the circuit that relates to the power supply. take a multimeter across the leads of the switch to see if you are getting continuity in the off position. if you are, then the switch is faulty and needs to be replaced. if not, you can move on to a bigger scale issue.

I have no idea how to replace the switch so I'm tossing it and getting another one. Thanks for your reply!
