I want to know if I can do it and, if so, how to upgrade the RAM memory of my computer. Specifically I want to know the steps I need to follow and what kind of memory I need to buy.

To confirm before you proceed to purchase the memory, shut down the laptop and flip to the back,
open up the screws behind to expose the mainboard, you should be seeing RAM slot compartment.
Remove the previous memory and add in the new one.
Check on the PC shops, which is selling RAMs, they might either help you to upgrade the RAM for you complementary or at a small fee, if you are not confident to do the job.
