How to replace the controller input port on a PS2 fat?
The casing for the pins on the third port input divider (there three separate port inputs that I can see on player 1 input) are missing the plastic casing. I have an old slim that I disassembled to use for replacement parts and realized that it is connected to the board so i get I'll need to probably solder. I'm prepared to do whatever needs to be done to fix the fat ps2 but just need a guide on how to do so, information is greatly appreciated as i cant find any info on it elsewhere online

Have you gotten it apart yet? Pictures would be greatly appreciated of the damaged port as well as how it connects to the board. I can't find much of any info on this subject either, so it will be hard to help without knowing what the connection looks like.
